![]() ![]() The pool itself was a large plunge pool that received plenty of sunlight throughout the day. Ocean-view pool rooms are also available, however are much less private as they face inward to the hotel where guests pass by. For this trip, I wanted to book hotels that had rooms with private pools to spend more time social distancing, and the room I stayed in had a desert dune view that offered plenty of privacy. The Japenese-minimalist design was the perfect touch for peace and tranquility on a relaxing vacation. The highlight of all rooms at Nobu include a luxurious spa-like soaking tub, stylish beach/pool bags to borrow, and all the luxury offerings such as butler service, high thread-count linens, and high-quality toiletries. From this beach, I also witnessed the most magnificent multi-colored sunset that puts the famed Santorini sunsets to shame! Still, being by the ocean and enjoying the sight, sound, and smell of the crashing waves was satisfying in its own right. This is common for many hotel beaches in Cabo due to strong and dangerous undercurrents. The beach on which the Nobu hotel sits can be enjoyed from the sand where nightly bonfires and private dinners are offered, however, there is no swimming allowed in the water. If you play golf, the hotel is also located next to the world-famous Diamante Golf Course, designed by Tiger Woods. ![]() Hookah rentals are also available to be enjoyed on the deck or beach. Dining and AmenitiesĪmenities at Nobu include 4 pools (one of which is an infinity pool overlooking the beach) 3 restaurants plus additional pool and beach bars and a tranquil spa and wellness/fitness center. The resort itself was the perfect size, where it was small enough to not need a golf cart to tote you around but large enough to offer guests privacy and space. The level of luxury and service provided by the Nobu brand and their other properties and restaurants was evident throughout. Clean, modern lines finished with a mixture of neutral washed and warm wood tones brought about a strong sense of zen with a touch of Japanese influence. I would love to return on this tour on our next trip to Cabo and I will recommend to family & friends. To begin, the Nobu Hotel is one of the most architecturally stunning properties I’ve ever visited. Baptiste, Jorge & Solomon were an excellent crew, communicating in English, French & Spanish. I would recommend this tour to others, the choppy waters, poor swimmers and non sea leg people amongst the group aboard was not a reflection on the crew and beyond their control. We left docks at 2:20 and returned at 3:36 (so we did not get the full 2 hours which was advertised). This is not a reflection on the crew which were accommodating. After snorkelling and back on board, another group asked to head back to the dock which ended up cutting out trip short. While snorkelling, my husband and I who are strong swimmers found ourselves helping others who were somewhat panicking in the choppy waters. We arrived at the specific meeting point 15 mins prior to the scheduled departure time, however we were waiting for the final two people (not in our group) which delayed the departure time. The crew took a lovely family picture of us with the famous Arch in the background and even maneuvered the boat to get the perfect angle. The highlight was watching the jumping mantarays while back on board the boat. Nothing special - Sargent majors, angelfish, pufferfish. ![]() Snorkelling was OK.the water isn’t very clear and it’s the same fish that you’d see swimming around the docks. This is not a booze cruise therefore it is very family friendly or for anyone that just wants to snorkel, see some sites and go for a short tour. The boat had a washroom and all safety equipment. The boat was plenty large enough and crew supplied water and some light snacks. We especially enjoyed the very small group (8 ppl plus 3 crew). Despite a gusty day, the trip was quite good. ![]() ![]() ![]()
![]() ![]() All of the opinions and insights here are subject to that version. This game was reviewed based on Xbox One review code, using an Xbox One console. It is clunky, slow and glitchy, and whilst there’s a base loop that could be intriguing, the lack of any real depth past the first few hours left me feeling disappointed. I can see Hunting Simulator 2 working for some people, but it doesn’t work for me. The major satisfaction you get out of Hunting Simulator 2 is achieved within the first hour or so of gameplay. Although you can buy new guns, items and licenses, you don’t feel like you get any better throughout your playtime. This is a nice system that prioritises growth. Your companion has stats that grow as you use them that majorly affect their efficiency. This seems to be the biggest issue with progression in Hunting Simulator 2. The aiming system was far too glitchy to feel immersive in my time with Hunting Simulator 2. Focusing to shoot an animal makes an animal at even 200 ft away no problem without a sight. ![]() ![]() The movement systems are clunky and slow, the guns themselves feel pretty poor to handle, and the aiming systems are far too easy. One could suggest this adds to the realism of the game, but the gameplay itself does not add to this. This means you could buy a license and spend 10 minutes tracking an animal only to be fined for shooting it with the wrong ammo type or hitting the female animal which is also a fine-able offence. Each animal requires a specific license and most animals require certain ammo types. This naturally brings one to the realism Hunting Simulator strives for. There is a level of satisfaction to each hunt but the waiting around goes from tedious to downright boring quite quickly. Patience is something you badly need to play Hunting Simulator 2. You can hunt practically everything with just a sniper, a scope and patience. Unfortunately most of this doesn’t feel essential to the experience and the animals themselves often aren’t hard enough to justify so many other factors. You can also change weapons from snipers to bows, and more. You can buy sprays to mask your scent, urine and calls to attract animals, binoculars to see further distances and more items to add to your backpack. Luckily, licenses aren’t all you can buy in Hunting Simulator 2. Animals net you a lot of money and your character has a decent chunk from the start of the game, meaning you can buy almost half of the licenses outright. This would be a real struggle if money was a scarce commodity. This is a clever way of introducing the license system that means you must purchase a license to kill each unique animal type. On the way, you come across a new animal which you can’t hunt due to licenses. After bagging the animal, you can make your way back to the cabin to sell it or use it as a trophy. You must only hit it in its vital organs and my Sniper Elite-style headshot caused the scenario to restart. Suddenly an animal comes out of the clearing and stands still for you to shoot. ![]() The tutorial involves you tracking the animal, then posting up in a tower. The tutorial is set up very intentionally to make you follow a certain pattern but the game itself does not feel like this. You track an animal, follow its scent, tracks and droppings, come close to it, then find a much better prey closer to you and lose your original target. This is where you are introduced to the base gameplay loop of Hunting Simulator 2. Me, my gun, and Smeagol my Beagle set out to hunt the creature tracks we found. Luckily, as well as searching them yourself, you enlist the role of a companion to help you.Īs well as your companion, your gun is suddenly teleported into your hand as you cross the threshold of your cabin. This is one of the key ideas in Hunting Simulator 2. You follow a trail until you find tracks these tracks can be analysed to tell you what they’re from and what direction they are pointing. You are let go but don’t have any items or guns to take with you. You start out in a small cabin without the options to move until a narrator tells you to look around. With the likes of Cabellas Big Game Hunter and The Hunter: Call of The Wild, Hunting Simulator 2 has a lot to live up to. Hunting games have been fairly popular this generation. ![]() ![]() Highly maneuverable, the land clearing 4-way dozer blade adds to the versatility of your fleet, allowing a single machine to take on tasks that would otherwise require dedicated equipment. Servo Motor InternalsĪs you can see, there are three wires: red for +5V, black for ground and yellow for pulse. There is a way to make a continuous rotation servo and is shown in this tutorial. A continuous rotation servo is stronger than a an ordinary dc motor. The limited possible values for PWM signals needs to be mapped to a smaller range (of angles).Originally designed for converting rotational motion to linear motion, servo motors do not need full 360 degree rotation (see crank mechanism). There are two reasons why servo motors don't rotate for a full circle: There is mechanical stop at the gear assembly to limit the rotation of servo motors to 180 degrees. If you want to get the exact pulse width for a specific angle, you must test your servo motor. The exact pulse width could vary per servo motor. The position of the servo motor arm corresponds with the width of the pulse: From SM2608 Hardware Hacking Workshop Also, the gears boost the torque output of the servo motor. ![]() The gear assembly slows down the rotation of the motor to a speed that the potentiometer can catch up.

This makes cruiser boards easier to turn and maneuver when compared to skateboards. ![]() At the same time, their bushings are very flexible. Under the consumer welfare standard’s 3-pronged test, the government must show a company’s market power, abuse of that power and proof that the company’s actions resulted in consumer harm. This already-existing legal criteria is meant to deter the government from targeting businesses based on political leanings. It’s obvious that this presents an antitrust enforcement action under the consumer welfare standard-the current legal framework in the U.S. At the same time, consumers can’t get access to tickets, and prices have continued to skyrocket-a clear example of consumer harm. We have seen Ticketmaster pressuring artists and venues to use their system, withholding thousands of tickets from sale to the general public, and helping ticket speculators circumvent anti-bot protections. The industry also implied that reforming antitrust laws might make it harder to go after Ticketmaster, though that’s not the case. "There's literally not been a single time in our career where we've played at a Live Nation venue where we had any opportunity to not have Live Nation be the promoter or Ticketmaster be the ticketing company." – is what a monopoly looks like. If Washington won’t even bother with the low-hanging fruit, how can it chop down trees in Silicon Valley? Ticketmaster is such a flagrant example of monopolistic practices, yet regulators have done nothing to break them up. The Ticketmaster example, Szabo said in a statement, shows that, actually, there’s no need for all the work Congress and federal antitrust regulators like FTC Chair Lina Khan are doing to rethink competition policy in order to encompass industries like Big Tech. On Tuesday, Carl Szabo, vice president and general counsel of NetChoice, laid out the industry’s interest in the case. American Economic Liberties Project January 24, 2023īig Tech’s targeting of Ticketmaster is far from altruistic, however. ![]() Their claim that they only control about 50-60% of the ticketing business is bogus. The choice of hearing sends a signal regarding congressional priorities, and Swifties and Big Tech alike celebrated the coal-raking of Ticketmaster. Senator Amy Klobuchar kicked it off with a reference to Taylor Swift. Right now the The Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing on Ticketmaster, and whether or not the company has monopoly power, controlling too much of the ticket industry and driving up prices. The next day, the lobbying firm NetChoice, which represents the Big Tech conglomerates in Washington, urged Congress and antitrust policymakers to focus their attention on Ticketmaster. Politicians dutifully denounced the decrepit company, and Big Tech spied an opening to deflect and distract. It was a poignant demonstration of monopolism run amok - and of what a mistake it had been for the Obama administration to have greenlighted the Ticketmaster-Live Nation merger that effectively ended competition in the ticketing industry. In mid-November, Swifties looking to secure tickets to the singer’s upcoming Eras Tour were foiled en masse by monopolistic incompetence of Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster, which melted down amid the surge in demand. ![]() |
